We are seeking an experienced education leader to join the Directorate for Children and Young People Services in our dynamic organisation which has recently had very successful educational outcomes, as well as being awarded the 2019 APSE Council of the Year award. The post holder will be accountable to the Director of Children’s Services.
This is a new role developed as part of bringing together the Education and wider Children’s services. It offers an exciting opportunity to shape the role and contribute towards developing a whole system approach for children and young people in Wolverhampton.
You will provide vision, leadership and direction to support the DCS in delivering aspirational outcomes for the City of Wolverhampton and its learners. You will be responsible for formulating and recommending strategies and plans to the Strategic Executive Board, Cabinet and Council.
You will embed and continue to improve transformational change programmes across the organisation and in partnership with schools and other educational settings to ensure success.
You will be educated to degree level with relevant professional qualifications. Through senior management experience, you will be able to demonstrate a proven ability to think strategically and find creative solutions through partnership and collaboration which has resulted in achieving educational excellence.
