Sandra Kelly - Travel Unit Driver

I have been working as a Travel Unit driver since March 2019. I am responsible for driving some of the City’s most vulnerable children to various schools in Wolverhampton. The driving aspect of the job is enjoyable, and the overall experience of interacting with the children and taking them to school Is very rewarding. I would like to stress that this job involves team work because you always work with a travel assistant whilst transporting children. Also, there is a real sense of freedom as a driver because after you have done your vehicle checks and are out on the road you can “manage” your journey to arrive at school on time. If you enjoy driving, like working with children and other team members, and enjoy being outside this might just be the job for you as well.
